How To Be Free From Lies

How would your life be different when you learn how to be free from lies? Imagine what your life would look like living in the Truth from now on.
You are trapped when you believe a lie.
The good news is there is a way to be free from lies once and for all.
1. Recognize You’re Believing A Lie
How can you be free, if you don’t even know you’re believing a lie in the first place?
It begins with understanding what a lie is in your life. The definition of a lie is “a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive.”
In other words, the whole purpose of a lie is to deceive you. Deception is causing you believe something that is not true. A lie is intentionally trying to cover up the Truth in your life.
How do you even know if you are believing a lie?
You feel trapped, restricted, limited and afraid. Have you ever felt that way before? If so, then now you know you’re believing a lie.
2. Discover The Truth
Jesus said in John 8:32, ” You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.” The opposite of the Truth is a lie.
When you understand the difference between a lie and the Truth, your life will never be the same.
Imagine a lie trying to cover up or hide the Truth from you. It’s still the Truth no matter what lie you are believing.
In John 17:17, Jesus reveals to us, “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your Word is truth.” Jesus tells us that God’s Word is THE TRUTH.
He also said, ” The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” (John 10:10) The thief Jesus was referring to is the devil. His goal is to steal the Truth from you.
When you believe a lie about yourself, then you’re not walking in the Truth of who God created you to be.
3. Replace Lies With The Truth
Do you know how you can tell if you’re believing a lie or not? You are NOT doing what God says you can do in His Word.
Your #1 weapon against any lie you are believing is God’s Word which is THE TRUTH. As soon as you recognize you are believing a lie, you immediately replace it with the Truth.
What does that look like for you?
First of all, you need to know what lies you keep on believing about yourself and God. Second, find Scripture verses that reveal the Truth of you and God. Finally, speak forth and believe those powerful Scripture verses that will set you free from lies.
When you follow these simple steps, then you will walk in freedom and victory!
