How To Make A Difficult Decision
August 10, 2023 3:38 pmWhat do you do when you are facing a difficult decision? Maybe you have tried to figure it out in your head and you still don’t know what to do.
Michelle Massie, one of our alumni, shares a very encouraging word of advice for you. Believe God is speaking to you through her message, for He is.
Making Difficult Decisions God’s Way
Have you been faced recently with having to make a difficult decision and not sure what to do? Should you move? Do you accept the new job offer? Should you end that unhealthy relationship that’s holding you back from God’s best?
The good news is the Lord guides you through every step – His way. Not only does He want to help you, but He also loves to help you!
The Lord says:
“Get alone with Me in our quiet place. I know you have a difficult decision to make. I know it’s not easy and you have a lot of questions.
“Sit with Me in the quiet, then ask Me one question at a time. In the peacefulness listen to your heart, that is where I answer you.
“There are two keys that unlock making difficult decisions.
“The first key is to use Godly wisdom as your guide. The second key is to make your decisions based on Godly love.
“My Word, the Holy Bible is filled with wise advice. Study what My Word says about your situation.
Wise Decisions
“If you’re not sure if you’re making your decision based on wisdom, ask Me. “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” James 1:5 (NKJV)
“My Word is also filled with Love. Love never fails. Love rejoices in truth. (I Corinthians 13) Sometimes a loving decision is not doing what the carnal man wants, but what is best for you, others, and the Kingdom of God.
“Therefore, even saying no can be a kind and loving decision.
“If you’re not sure the decision is the right one, ask Me. Ask for specific confirmation and I will give it to you. I want you to make the right decision because it walks you toward My will for your life. You want My will in your life, don’t you?
“Some will not like your decision. That’s O.K. You don’t like some of their decisions either. They are usually just letting you know what they want.
“Pleasing man only causes confusion, fear, and doubt (which never
comes from Me). Stay focused on Me. Stay focused on my Word. I will guide and lead you to make the right decision. Selah and Amen.”
Pray:
“Heavenly Father, thank You for Your wisdom and guidance as I navigate through making a difficult decision. I pray You help me make wise and loving choices.
“Remind me of any scripture that will guide me through my choices. Help me to stay focused on You, and not be distracted by others’ opinions. I only want to hear Your voice when I make decisions both great and small. Amen.”
Encouragement
You are not alone. You don’t have to make decisions by yourself. God is right there with you. Therefore, He desires for you to come to Him when making A difficult decision.
Will you take Him up on His offer to help you?
God knows the end from the beginning. He is the ONLY one who knows the best decisions to make no matter what you are facing right now. God is FOR you and not against you. He feels what you feel.
Wisdom awaits you. Ask God for His wisdom and He promises to give it to you generously. Also, He loves to do exceedingly abundantly above ALL you ask or think according to the POWER that works within you.
Whatever difficult situation you’re facing, remember with God ALL things are possible. Amen!
