As you understand God, you will come to a place of BELIEVING what He is saying to you is TRUE. When God speaks to you, He can ONLY tell the Truth. He cannot lie. He is Trustworthy because He is Truthful. Ultimately, He wants you to trust Him with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. Once you get here, you will DO what He has called you to do. This is His desire for you to draw closer to Him.

Do you want a more intimate relationship with Him? If so, you must understand what intimacy looks like for you and God. Years ago, I heard “intimacy” described as Into Me See. It begins with you being unsatisfied with the relationship you have now with Him and desiring so much more. There comes a point in your life where you must decide that the status quo is a place of complacency. Is that the kind of relationship God wants with you? Of course not.

Are you going to be unwilling to grow closer to Him?

You GET TO leave the old behind for the new, deeper, more intimate relationship with Him. Do you know what that takes? A willing heart. You must be willing to let go of the old for the new. You must be willing to follow His lead as He draws you closer to Him. What else does He desire for you to do to go to the next level with Him?

Investing time with God will be the BEST INVESTMENT you’ll ever make especially in your relationship with Him. When you seek Him in prayer, He will give you more and more clarity. You don’t want to miss out on getting clarity from Him, do you? You schedule time with others every day, so why not commit to investing time with the Lord EVERY DAY?

He is waiting for you right now to invest more time in seeking His face and listening to His heart so you can go to the next level with Him. How will your life change when you SEE Him face to face? In fact, you’ll ask God for HIS EXPECTATIONS and He will give them to you. Is that what you want? Then ask Him. You have not, because you ask not. When you do ask Him, you will experience hope like never before.

He promises you that He will never leave you nor forsake you. He is closer to you than you think. As you realize you and getting closer to God, your old lifestyle will be appealing to you anymore. This next level awaits you as you are now willing to leave the old behind for this more intimate relationship with Him so you can hear His gentle whisper in your heart. So what are signs God is taking you to the next level?

7 Signs You Are At The Next Level With God

There will be hints or signs that you are finally at the next level with God. Do you want to know what they are? Find out what these signs are so you know when you arrive.

1. Your Interests Will Change

The more you have a closer relationship, the more you will want to get closer to Him. That means, what used to interest you before, will fall by the wayside for more of His presence. Right now you have interest that you will NOT have at the next level. You can look back over your life and see when your interests have changed.

When you ask God to show you what interests you have now that He doesn’t want you to have anymore, He will show you. Then ask Him what are the NEW interests or desires He will give you as you release the old ones to Him. You will be much more interested in resting in His loving presence. In His presence, He will give you new thoughts, too.

2. Your Mindset Will Change

There is no way you think the same way at the new level. New level, new mindset. Whatever level you are at now, you got there because of your thoughts, words, actions, and choices. Now that you are pursuing God, you must think differently. How do you renew your mind for this next level?

Romans 12:2, says that you are transformed by the renewing of your mind. You do this by meditating on His Holy Scriptures day and night. The Bible is your Life Manual. The more you study Scripture verses and meditate on them throughout the day, the transformation is inevitable. As you do this, your thoughts, expectations, and hopes will change in a way that you could not do on your own. You can also ask God to help you change your mindset. His thoughts will also affect your desires.

3. Your Desires Will Change

Old things have passed away, behold all things have become new. This will include your desires as God is taking you to the next level. Why would you have contrary desires, when you can have the same desires God has for you? He wants you to be in agreement with Him, doesn’t He? The best desires you could ever have are God’s Desires.

He promises that He will give you the desires of your heart. Who do you think deposited those desires within you? God Himself. Ask Him to reveal what those desires are and how they will come to pass. You’ll be able to look back a year from now and see that God has truly given you His desires. A new level will have new desires. These new desires will impact your relationships.

4. Your Relationships Will Change

Many of the people that are in your life today, will not be in your life in the future as you go to the next level with God. Why is that? They are not willing to do what you are willing to do to have a more intimate, deeper, personal relationship with God. So don’t expect many to follow you. As you are moving to the next level spiritually, God has special plans for you. The good news is, that you will have new, healthier relationships with those who seek God’s face.

As you continue to draw closer to God, He will bring people into your life that will encourage you, support you, and love you just as you are. Have you heard the quote, “Birds of a feather flock together?” You must understand that they are going in the same direction. If you want to fly with eagles who soar, then expect God to bless you with new relationships. Are you willing to leave old relationships behind for new ones?

5. You’re More Willing To Obey God

The more you GET TO know Him, the more you will know His love He has just FOR YOU. One way of expressing your love to God is by being willing AND obedient. You can be obedient, but not willing. You can go through the motions, but God looks at your heart. A willing and obedient heart looks like Jesus’ heart. That means you will be dying to yourself and taking up your cross DAILY.

Have you ever seen what word is right in the middle of the word OBEDIENCE? Die. Are you willing to give up your life as Jesus did for you? If so, you will encounter God at a new level like never before. It may feel like God isolates you before He elevates you. This is helping you prepare for an obedient lifestyle. There is so much that awaits you at the next level including bearing new fruit for God.

6. You’ll Experience More Of The Fruit Of The Spirit

You will bear more fruit in your life as God is taking you to the next level. The Bible tells us that we will know them by their fruit. What fruit do you want to know as having in your life? What you allow in your heart, can determine what fruit you will bear. Be very careful what you allow in your eyes and ears for they are the openings to your heart. The more you invest time with God, you’ll bear the fruit that Jesus had as He walked on this Earth.

He was bearing the fruit of the Spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control. The more intimate you are with Him, the more of His fruit you will bear FOR HIM. The good news it’s effortless on your part. Behold Him and be transformed into His image as you bear MUCH fruit abiding in Him. When God is taking you to the next level, your desire to study the Bible will increase.

7. You’ll Invest More Time Studying The Bible

The simplest way to get to know God is by studying WHO He is in the Holy Scriptures. If you are not sure about WHO God is, ask Him to lead you to specific Scriptures that describe His character. Studying the Bible must be the highest priority of what you study every day. It’s not just reading several chapters a day, but it’s really studying what the verses mean and how you can apply them in your life.

I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE you to read the Bible OUT LOUD. When you do, you will hear God speak to you. The Bible promises you that you are transformed by the renewing of your mind. Why not hear God what God is saying to you in His Holy Scriptures? When you do, you’ll hear God speak to you through His Holy Scriptures. This is the easiest way to hear God’s heart for you.
