How To Be Hopeful For Your Future

If you could HOPE for ANYTHING, what would it be? The reason I ask is that I want to make sure you are on the same page with the Lord for what you’re expecting. The Lord wants you to know how you can be hopeful for your future.

I’m not sure about you, but I have hoped for things in the past that did not happen. Later I found out those things were NOT God’s will for my life. 

When I graduated from college, my first position was teaching physical education, and health and I coached basketball and track. My dream was to one day coach at the college level. Unfortunately, that did not happen, but something much better did. 

In 1991, I heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ for the first time and gave my life to the Lord. Fast forward several years later, and I got to coach others in hearing God MORE clearly and discovering their purpose in life. 

In this next season, He has new plans for me that I’ll be sharing with you this month that I am very excited about. 

The good news is the Lord wants to reveal the plans He has for you. He KNOWS what He wants you to hope for. 

In Hebrews 11:1 it says, “Now faith is the substance of things HOPED for, the evidence of things unseen.” 

God gives you faith in what HE wants you to hope for. Why would you hope for something that is NOT God’s will? It’s so much better to know EXACTLY what He wants you to hope for in this season.

God is giving you hope for YOUR FUTURE.

Your future begins as soon as you are done reading this blog. 

ONLY God knows what your future looks like. He has already gone ahead of you and provided MORE than enough resources as well as the people He wants in your life. 

You have learned so many LIFE LESSONS in your past and present that you can apply in your future. 

Your future will NOT look like your past. (Can I get an AMEN?)

That is why the Lord is wanting you to seek Him this month for HIS PLANS for your life. Remember you get to Celebrate this month and it can begin today with the Lord showing you specifically His plans for your life. 

Jeremiah 29:11 in the New English Translation says, “For I know what I have planned for you, says the Lord, ‘I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope.” 

Do you want your FUTURE FILLED WITH HOPE? 

God does. That is His plan for YOU. Imagine your future is so full of hope that you get excited to get out of bed each day because you know HOPE is there waiting for you. 

How do discover the plans God has for you?

In Psalm 139:16, the Lord has a book He wants to reveal to you. “Your eyes saw me when I was formless; all my days were written in your book and planned before a single of them began.” 

Before you woke up today, the Lord already had a plan to show you. 

I HIGHLY encourage you to seek the Lord every morning before you get out of bed for the plan He has for you. So, find out what God’s purpose and priorities are each and every day.

Remember, God has promised your future to be filled with HOPE.
