Overcoming the Fear of Other’s Opinion of You

How would you feel being free from the fear of other’s opinions of you? This week, I am going to share with you a journal entry conversation I had with God about overcoming the fear of man.

Journaling with God

Over six decades I have struggled with the fear of man. It caused me to isolate myself and not even leave the house at times. I THOUGHT I was afraid of what others would say or do to me.

But God gave me a REVELATION that I will remember for the rest of my life. Because of His love for you, He wanted me to share what we journaled. 

I RARELY share what’s in my journal. Why?

It’s personal, so when God says to share this with you, He knows it’s going to MAKE YOU FREE!

Overcoming the Fear of Man

When I refer to “the fear of man” I am not referring to males. I’m referring to humanity. If you have ever had a problem with being afraid of other people and their opinions of you, this revelation will free you from fear.

I highly encourage you to read this journal entry OUT LOUD so you can HEAR this revelation.

The Lord said to me in my journal: 

“You received a revelation about the fear of man. The devil is the one who is afraid of what I will do and say through man. That is THE FEAR. Selah. 

“You will not use the excuse anymore of what you THINK others will say, think, believe, feel, say, or write about you. No more. (I agree) 

Who’s Really Afraid?

“The devil is afraid of everyone being free to love. What would this world look like when everyone loves as I love them? The devil does not want that at all. 

“That is what he is afraid of so he wants everyone to be afraid of what others might think, feel, believe, say, or write about them. Selah.”

If you are NOT excited yet, read it again.

Did you see what God just revealed to you? He showed you who is the one that is REALLY AFRAID, and it’s not you.

In Christ Jesus can you be afraid? Of course not. God said in 1 John 4:17, “...as He is so are we in this world.” SINCE Jesus is not afraid, then neither are you in Him. 

God promises that PERFECT LOVE casts out fear. God can only give you what He has and it’s ALL good. The devil can only give you what he has and it’s all evil.

The devil does not want you to trust in God’s love for YOU. Why? When you do, then you will love God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength.

You will also love your neighbor as you love yourself.  God’s will for you is to love. The devil’s will for you is to be afraid.

Which one will you choose?

Two Mirrors 

Imagine Jesus looking in a mirror at Himself. He begins to describe who He is… loved, accepted, righteous, blessed, whole, etc. Then Jesus looks at you and says the SAME exact thing because you are in Christ Jesus. 

That is the truth you MUST believe.

Imagine the devil looking in a mirror at himself. He begins to describe himself… afraid, depressed, worried, anxious, sick, oppressed, hurting, rejected, etc.

What he wants to do is to convince you that he is describing you, but he is actually describing himself. 

If he would describe you, then he would have to say the same thing Jesus says about you, and you know the devil won’t admit the truth. Imagine overcoming the fear of man once and for all.

God’s Why

A few weeks ago, God told me HIS WHY for my life. When He told me, I had not yet received this revelation I just shared with you. 

He said, “Jeffrey this is My WHY for you: To inspire others to seek and find the Truth.” 

At the time, it sounded great, but I still needed to overcome the fear of man. Now that I have this freedom, I can bless you even more because of the boldness and confidence I have in Christ Jesus.
