The Secret to Your Turnaround
February 12, 2026 3:54 pm
Have you ever felt trapped by your past? You know life could be different—freer, healthier, full of hope—but something is not allowing your turnaround. What if God reveals to you the secret to your turnaround?
It’s not hidden from you on purpose by Him, but the enemy hides it because it brings deliverance. It’s simple, scriptural, and yours—if you take responsibility for your heart.
But why do you want your turnaround so much… yet hesitate?
You long to escape the past dictating your future. You feel stuck because of guilt, shame, and condemnation. Maybe you made a big mistake when you were younger out of ignorance, but it’s still haunting you today.
Why You Want Your Turnaround
What you want is clarity, peace, freedom, and liberty.
Real change starts with the heart. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. (Luke 6:45) Your words give away why you remain stuck. The good news is, it’s your words that will lead to your turnaround.
The Lord showed me a few years ago a life-changing revelation about the power of the words we speak. He said, “Jeffrey, you are walking into the words you are speaking.” Then He showed me that when I moved from one state to another, I told others. What happened? Exactly what I said.
What else can lead to your turnaround?
External fixes don’t last without turning from what’s not His will and turning to His goodness. Scripture promises: “Therefore, repent and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped out, that seasons of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” (Acts 3:19).
Think about mistakes you’ve already turned from—childhood outbursts, lies, selfishness. You regretted, admitted, and turned away from them once and for all. You’ve already experienced a turnaround in your life before.
Just this past week, the Lord reminded me that what I did 40 years ago, I am not doing anymore. Why? Because I made Turnaround Decisions, and so can you.
You made a Turnaround Decision today. You are discovering what the secret to your turnaround is because you want it. Today is a new day. It’s time for your turnaround. What can be delaying your turnaround? What could be keeping you stuck?
The Hidden Barrier: Pride Keeps You Stuck
If you truly want to know the secret to your turnaround, then you must be humble. Did you know the definition of humble means freedom from pride and arrogance? But God opposes the proud, and gives grace to the humble (James 4:6).
Therefore, the proud will not acknowledge their mistakes. The humble know their mistakes and admit them. Which one leads to freedom and healing? “If my people… humble themselves… and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear… forgive… heal” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
I remember a time before I was saved, when I was called to a meeting about what I was saying. When everyone was done speaking, I went up to the front and started to defend myself. Thankfully, there was a young Pastor who took me out into the hallway and lovingly convinced me to humble myself and admit my mistakes.
The proud see no reason—why would they? Selah. The humble repent because they see it is God’s will. He commands us to repent. This is personal—no one can humble or repent for another. Everyone is responsible for their own turnaround.
What if pride is the real chain holding you back?
The Secret Revealed: Your Point of No Return
The secret to your turnaround today requires commitment. Why would you admit your mistakes and keep making them? Admit your mistakes, regret them deeply to the point you never want them back. When you decide to commit to not returning and revisiting your mistakes, you have just begun your turnaround.
It’s a love decision, not fear or selfishness. No one can do this for you—it’s your responsibility alone. If you truly love God, yourself, and others, then repentance is NOT optional.
You’ve experienced a turnaround before. What brought change was your decision to leave the old behind once and for all. God calls this a renewing of the mind that leads to transformation. (Romans 12:2).
For years, I was too ashamed to admit my mistakes, so I hid them from others. But it wasn’t until I discovered how freeing it was when I humbled myself and brought it to the light.
Therefore, when you bring hidden things to light—guilt, shame, condemnation- they lose power. Nothing else (no therapy, no counseling) does what humility and commitment can do for your turnaround.
Feel that pull? You don’t want the past controlling you anymore. You want freedom, liberty, healing, health, and wholeness. The humble come clean because they love God, love themselves, and love others.
Remember this: Pride hides; Love reveals.

Benefits are real: burdens lifted, peace restored, and transformation through this daily Turnaround Habit.
No one can repent for you. It’s personal. Everyone must do their own.
Let’s start right now with your turnaround. Ask God to reveal to you what He wants you to admit, repent, and regret. Once He shows you, then say this out loud to Him.
“Heavenly Father, I, (your name), confess and admit (what specifically you’re repenting of), and I regret it deeply. I turn away completely and turn toward Your goodness in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
Next, accept His forgiveness. Just as important, you MUST forgive yourself now, out loud. You need to HEAR that you are forgiven of what you repent of before God.
“Thank You, Father, for Your love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness through the blood of Jesus. I forgive and pardon myself fully, just as You have, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.”
Breathe deep. Let it out. Feel a release? This is just the beginning of your new daily Turnaround Habit. When I began to confess and admit what God led me to, I never realized how much I needed to be free from. This will be a daily habit I will have for the rest of my life, and I pray you will do the same.
This is the secret to your turnaround. Start today. The liberty on the other side is worth every humble step.
If this touched you, share this with your loved ones.
