Waiting On The Lord
January 28, 2020 9:19 pmWhat does “waiting on the Lord” mean? Its means you are going to give up your will for God’s will. I want you to know WHY you need to wait on the Lord for His will to happen in your life.
When you look up the definition of “waiting” it means: cheerful or hopeful endurance, steadfastness and patience. So when you are waiting on the Lord, are you cheerful?
Personally, it can be a challenge at times waiting on the Lord for His answers. Can you relate? So lets dive into WHY waiting on the Lord is best for you.
1. God’s Will Be Done
Do you remember when Jesus prayed to our Father in Matthew 6:10? “Your kingdom come, Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.” AMP
Every time you choose God’s will over your own will, you can cheerfully wait patiently for His best for you. Recently I’ve learned to SLOW DOWN and follow God’s lead.
This has been one of the best decisions I’ve made so far in 2020. God is never in a rush, so why should I be? Since I’ve made the decision to slow down, I am more productive, more focused and less stressed.
You can experience more of God’s will in your life too when you choose to wait on the Lord. Slowing down will help you know God’s best for you.
2. God’s Set Ups
Have you ever been in the right place at the right time? Its seems like God has set you up with a Divine Appointment. He is so good at connecting you with the right people.
There have been so many times in my life, where I waited patiently on the Lord to receive direction from Him. As I waited He set me up with life changing opportunities and new relationships.
You can help yourself by being more willing to wait on God’s leading instead of you trying to make things happen on your own. I know what its like try to force something to happen when I knew it was not God’s best for me.
How many times have you felt an unction to go somewhere and when you did, it was a set up from God? The more you choose to wait and listen to God, you will experience more of His Divine Appointments.
3. God’s Peaceful Presence
Imagine encountering God’s peaceful presence when you wait on Him. Your life will never be the same when you encounter God’s glory.
Over the past 6 years, I’ve led many anointed Soaking Prayers where so many have been supernaturally blessed by God’s glory. The Lord has led me to pray what He wants to say to His children during these Soaking Prayers.
Maybe you have been feeling stressed lately or confused about life. You can feel so lost at times just not knowing what God’s purpose for your life looks like. As you soak in God’s peaceful presence, just ONE Word can change your life. Why not soak right now?
4. God’s Love For You
Oh how God desires for you to KNOW that He loves YOU. What is so amazing about His love for you is that its unconditional. The Bible says that God is love.
How would your life change when you finally accept God’s love for you? It is God’s will for you to experience His love. Do you want to encounter His perfect love that casts out fear?
When I was growing up, I decide to define what love was for me. If you gave me a hug and said, “I love you” then I believed you loved me. But if you didn’t give me a hug nor say I love you, then I believed you did not love me.
One night before I was going to sleep, I heard the Lord speak to my heart and He said, “Jeffrey, I love you even when I don’t say it.” WOW! For me that was one of the biggest AHA Moments of my life. You can experience His love too simply by choosing to wait on the Lord.
God is actually waiting for you right now to simply wait in His presence. I encourage you to listen to this Soaking Prayer: God’s Love For You. As you do, you will get to know more of God’s will for your life and just how much He loves you.
